If you have a child with autism, you know all of the struggles that come with it and all of the challenges. It is not easy, that is for sure. Each and every day is different from the next and you don’t know what is around the corner or what to expect. However, you love your child and you don’t treat them any differently. You still give them the same amount of respect, love, and attention you would any child. That is the purpose behind Sanjay Shah’s event Autism Rocks, which he runs with his wife Usha. They have a great goal in mind and something I can definitely get behind and that is they want to change the way people with autism are looked at and represented in the world.
They have a child with Autism, so you know their heart is in the right place with this event and they truly care. Once you get to know this wonderful couple, you can’t help but fall in love with them. Shah have such a personal touch and they go above and beyond the call of duty to make you feel at home when you attend the event. There are tons of games and festivities and there is truly something for everyone.
There will also be musical performances from artists such as Flo Rida and Tyga. In the past, they have had such big names as Prince, Lenny Kravitz, Michael Bublè and Drake in London and Dubai. The event has only been around since 2014, but it has grown each and every year and more people are being made aware of it and more people want to get involved and help out as much as they can, as every little bit counts. The same goes with donations. With donations, they can look into better treatment plans and a way to combat this.
This is truly a family event and one where everyone sticks together. When you have an autistic son, some days can be really difficult and really hard on you. You feel like giving up and you feel like you have no one to turn to. However, with this event, you realize you have a lot friends and a lot of family in your corner. They are battling the same fight you are with your child and they can offer up solutions and advice to help you deal with it on those tough days.
